On October 29th 2020 the first episode of our podcast, Fireside Stories, and the first of a five part Viking special went live.

We've pulled together five of our favourite Norse Tales and brought them back to life in our new weekly podcast, Fireside Stories.
Each of the Viking special episodes is read by one of our favourite storytellers and Viking expert Christof Gallon, who's deep and commanding voice will easily have you believing you're sat in a long house in Avaldsnes or Lofoten some 800 or 900 years ago.
Our first episode is one of Christof's favourite stories called The Theft of a Hammer, which tells of the time the king of the giants stole Thor's hammer. If you're yet to listen to it, you can find it here.
New episodes come out every Thursday at 7am and usually run between 5 and 10-minutes long, making them perfect to listen to whilst you tuck in to your dagmal (breakfast). As well as being able to catch all episodes of Fireside Stories right here on the Museum's website, you can also subscribe to the podcast via most podcast apps including Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
